What is the Chief Minister Fellowship Program?

Launched in 2015 by Hon. Shri. Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister Fellowship Program is a prestigious initiative by the Government of Maharashtra. It invites talented youth to work closely with government departments, bring fresh perspectives, and support key projects.

This 12-month program empowers fellows with exposure to real-time administrative tasks while also offering academic training from IIT Bombay.

Eligibility Criteria for Chief Minister Fellowship 2025

To apply, you must meet the following conditions:

1. Age Limit: Between 21 to 26 years as of the last application date
   (Born between 05.05.1999 and 05.05.2004, both dates inclusive)

2. Educational Qualification: Minimum 60% in graduation from any stream
   (Higher qualifications will be given preference)

3. Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of full-time work experience
   (Internships, apprenticeships, or entrepreneurship are also accepted)

4. Language & Tech Skills:

   • Must read, write, and speak Marathi

   • Knowledge of Hindi and English is essential

   • Basic computer and internet skills are required

Nature of the Fellowship

• Duration: 12 months

• Placement: Fellows will be placed in government offices such as District Collectors or CEOs

• Work: Involves field assignments under the guidance of senior officers

• Training: Compulsory academic program by IIT Bombay

• Certification: Awarded upon successful completion of fieldwork and coursework

Selection Process

The Chief Minister Fellowship selection process includes:

1. Online Objective Test

2. Essay Submission (Top 210 candidates shortlisted)

3. Personal Interview (Final 60 selected based on merit)
